Every September, communities around the world come together to mark World Alzheimer’s Monthย – a time to raise awareness, increase understanding, and challenge the stigma surrounding dementia.
Dementia affects millions of people worldwide, with Alzheimer’s being the most common form. It impacts memory, thinking, and daily life – but with the right support, people can continue to live well and enjoy meaningful connections.
At Ripon Community House, we’re proud to play a part in that support by hosting the Memory Cafรฉ, which runs on the second Tuesday of every month, 1.30pm – 3.30pm. The cafรฉ provides a warm and welcoming space for people living with dementia and their carers. Its a place to share experiences, enjoy friendly company, and take part in activities that bring comfort and joy. The group is supported by the Alzheimer’s Society, who are on hand to provide guidance, information, and reassurance.

At Ripon Community House, we believe no one should face dementia alone – and we’re proud to be part of a community that helps make that possible. ๐
