🏥From Workhouse Hospital Wing to community Hub
RCH was formerly the hospital wing of the old workhouse, a place with a long history of care. In 2006, the building was renovated, transforming it into a modern, welcoming community space while preserving its historical roots. From healing to connecting, the spirit of care continues to live on in its walls.

After the renovation, RCH opened its doors to local groups, volunteers, and visitors, creating a space where people could meet, support each other, and enjoy activities in a friendly, inclusive environment. Every corner reflected a commitment to community, even in its earliest days as a community hub.

Today, RCH is run by the charity Ripon Community House Ltd, ensuring that the building continues to serve the community in a sustainable, organised way. The charity overseas all activities, projects and maintenance, keeping the focus on people, connection, and care.
